National Day of the Cowboy July 22
Celebrate the National Day of theCowboy!!!! JULY 22,2006 at the ND Cowboy Hall of Fame, Medora, ND
Put on clean knickers and shine your boots!! It's time to celebrate the National Day of the Cowboy at the home for cowboys, The North Dakota Cowboy Hall of Fame in Medora.
The day begins with a best dressed cowboy/cowgirl contest for Medora merchants and visitors. Prizes will be awarded for Best Dressed and Most Authentic.
Wear your cowboy/cowgirl duds to the Hall of Fame between 11:30AM and 1:30 PM for a free lunch. You bet your quarter horse……we're serving Cowboy Hall of Fame Hotdogs!
From 10AM until 11:30 there will be real cowboys who will talk about horses, give demonstrations on saddling, harnessing, grooming, roping and give buggy rides too!!
From 1:30 to 4:30 we wil have cowboy music, poetry, saddle making, rope making, wheel wright, chuckwagon cooking and an auctioneer too!
This is your chance to meet a cowboy who can spin a yarn spit a plug, shoe a horse and dance all night.
From 5:30PM to 7:30PM there will be a steak fry. Real beef steak for only $8/plate. From 8PM until Midnite, it's dancin' on the patio to the music of Dakota Drive. Cost to shine your buckle????$5 per person or $8per couple. Get dance and dinner per person for $12 or $23 per couple.
Cowboys, horses, dancin', food, saddle making, cowboy poetry and more - that's the National Day of the Cowboy, Saturday, July 22 at the North Dakota Cowboy Hall of Fame in Medora!
